Briana, founded The Heirloom Project from a recognition of the critical need to preserve and foster the innate intelligence of women’s bodies. Within a ceremonial container, Briana serves and witnesses women become in greater harmony with what is true. Within The Heirloom Project, hope is the fertile ground from which traditional community care and ways of knowing live on.

The Heirloom Project

the heirloom project is for women to receive care and witnessing on their journey back to truth and the reserve of infinite resource within them

Briana’s approach is rooted in vitalism. Vitalism is a paradigm that sees all forms of life as having an intrinsic intelligence.

This intelligence pushes the creative energy that we see in processes of growth, death or breaking down and regeneration.

A vitalist’s reflection
on care

I strive to be in conversation with my body’s knowing.

I have honed and continue to refine my ability to see and feel when the vitality that wants to be expressed in me and others is blocked or misdirected.

I pay close attention to the earth and her seasons as well as the planets and stars.

I acquaint myself with ancestry and lineage, both of the blood, of the land one lives on and that of their beloveds and teachers.

I inquire about the way one was nurtured, and how they are nurtured now.

And i familiarize myself with what is consumed on the physical, mental and spiritual planes.

I want to understand what is impacting vitality or what is blocking your desires, hopes and dreams…

Symptoms are an expression of health, they give us great insight into what aspect of one’s world could be distancing them from coherence.

I listen to where there are opportunities for a shift toward greater alignment.

I work with different tools like story medicine, meditation, herbal medicine, touch, movement and elemental medicine.

It is a great privilege to provide care from this wisdom and framework
